  The Banquet and Party Rooms at The Embassy Club at 801 Grand

The Attache Room
Seating for: 30

The Attache Room is at the northeast corner of the 40th floor. It is decorated with fabric wall covering and a bordered carpeted floor. The patterned ceiling is constructed of gypsum board and acoustic tile. The room's approximate dimensions are 38'W x 17'L with an area of 620 square feet. The ceiling height is 10'0" and the door height is 8'0".

 

The Passport Room
Seating for: 24

The Passport Room is at the southeast corner of the 40h floor. It is decorated with fabric wall covering and a bordered carpeted floor. The patterned ceiling is constructed of gypsum board and acoustic tile. The room's approximate dimensions are 29'W x 17'L with an area of 540 square feet. The ceiling height is 10'0" and the door height is 8'0".

 

The Consulate Room
Seating for: 50

The Consulate Room is at the south corner of the 40th floor with views to the east and west. It is decorated with fabric wall covering and a bordered carpeted floor. The patterned ceiling is constructed of gypsum board and acoustic tile. The room's approximate dimensions are 43'W x 30'L with an area of 870 square feet. The ceiling height is 8'0".


The Board Room
Seating for: 12

The Board Room is at the north corner of the 40th floor. It is decorated with fabric wall covering and a carpeted floor with wood accents. The patterned ceiling is constructed of gypsum board and acoustic tile. The room's approximate dimensions are 26'W x 25'L with an area of 350 square feet. The ceiling height is 10'0" and the door height is 8'0".

The Diplomat Room
Seating for: 90

The Diplomat Room is at the east corner of the 40th floor. It is decorated with fabric wall covering and a bordered carpeted floor. A movable dance floor is optional. The patterned ceiling is constructed of gypsum board and acoustic tile. The room's approximate dimensions are 37'W x 65'L with an area of 1,500 square feet. The ceiling height is 10'0" and the door height is 8'0".

 

The Des Moines Club Banquet and Private Party Rooms

The Board Room
Seating for: 40 for sit down meal, 50 people theater style, 24 people classroom styles, or 20 people conference style.

The Board Room includes original Des Moines Club crystal chandeliers. It is 24 ft by 27 ft.

The Hawkeye Room
Seating for: 10 people for a Breakout Room, 16 people for a Sit Down meal. It is 20 ft by 24 ft, features a built-in bar and wooden french doors that open into the Board Room.

The Pioneer (west view), Des Moines, Iowa, and Capital Rooms (east view)
>Each room has seating for: 40 for a sit down meal, 50 people theater style, 24 people classroom style, or 18 people conference style.
Together, these rooms seat: 150-175 people for a Sit Down meal, 300 people theater style, or 100 people classroom style.

These four rooms make up the large ballroom on the 33rd floor. All rooms feature views to the north.

Temple for Performing Arts

The Temple for Performing Arts is perfect for all large-scale events and is Iowa's most unique wedding facility. With an innate beauty reminiscent of Chicago's premiere ballrooms and exquisite catering by the Des Moines Embassy Club, the Temple provides the perfect location for the wedding of your dreams.

The Grand Hall

Banquet Style: The Grand Hall can accommodate up to 300 seated guests and still allow space for a DJ, dance floor, cake table, bar, and head table. If no dance floor is needed, the room could accommodate 330 seated.

Theatre Style: The Grand Hall can accommodate 360 guests on the ground floor. The client, if needed, can use an additional 150 theatre style chairs in the balcony.

Cocktail Party: (limited- no seating, just high cocktail tables) The Grand Hall can accommodate 500 guests with room for food stations/ bar.


The Recital Hall

Banquet Style: The Recital Hall can accommodate up to 70 seated-guests and still allow space for food stations/ bar.

Theatre Style: The Recital Hall can accommodate up to 200 seated-guests theatre style.

Cocktail Party: (limited- no seating, just high cocktail tables) The recital Hall can accommodate up to 150 people with room for food stations/ bar. If there are no food stations (using waiters serving on trays), we can accommodate 175 people.

Classroom Style: The Recital Hall can accommodate up to 60 guests classroom style. This leaves room for an A/V screen and table/ podium for a speaker.


Parking: There is street parking located on all sides of The Temple for Performing Arts. In addition, ING allows The Temple to use their parking lot (located on the SE corner of the 10th and Locust intersection) after 5:30pm Monday- Friday and all day/ night on Saturday and Sunday. Finally, there is a parking ramp on 10th street across from The Hotel Fort Des Moines.

Exclusive Caterer: The Embassy Club is the exclusive caterer. Any questions regarding set-up, food, or beverage should be directed to Marne' Krause: (515) 244- 1413 ext. 206

Non-Catered Events: The Temple for Performing Arts requires a $5 per person fee (with a minimum of $200) for events that do not require food/ beverage. There will be a $75 coat check fee if it is required by weather.

 

 Rooms & Rental Charges
Room charges are eliminated by the purchase of meals (food and beverage){ in excess of the room rental charges. Listed below is the minimum revenue required for the Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner meal periods in each room, and the room charge that applies. If the Revenue Requirement is met, NO room charge will be added. If it is NOT met, only the difference between the total food and beverage revenue and the Revenue Requirement will be added to the bill.

A.M. CHARGES stop at 4:30 pm and P.M. CHARGES begin at 5:00 pm. If A.M. time period runs into the P.M. time period, P.M. CHARGES will apply. Each additional hour that the room is occupied by a group past the allotted time, a $50.00 fee will apply. Time Periods = 3.5 hour sessions.
