The Embassy Club, 801 Grand Avenue, on the 41st floor of the Principal Building, the tallest buiding in the State. Contemporary dining in the main dining room, with table side prepared signature salads, entrees, desserts and flambeed after dinner drinks and coffees. The Embassy Club also features less formal dining in the Grill and Lounge. Five private dining rooms and the Clubs' management offices are on the 40th floor.

The Des Moines Club, 666 Grand, on the 34th floor of the Ruan Center. Traditional dining in the Crystal Room replete with signature table settings and chandeliers galore. There is also less formal dining in the Metropolitan Grill and Library Bar. Seven private dining rooms are located on the 33rd floor.

Full Membership in the Des Moines Embassy Club offers the following outstanding member benefits:

Fine dining Monday through Saturday evening in The Embassy Club and Wednesday through Saturday in The Des Moines Club.

Each location offers traditional dining specials like 2 for 1 selected entrees Monday evenings and Prime Rib carved tableside from the trolley on Wednesdays in The Embassy Club and family night buffet Thursday evenings in The Des Moines Club . Dining extravaganzas like seasonal seafood buffets, holiday buffets, wine tasting, cigar nights, cooking classes and more are featured frequently.

A la carte or buffet lunch in either club Monday through Friday, including fine dining options in The Crystal Room of The Des Moines Club and Main Dining room of The Embassy Club. (Note: The Des Moines Club is closed Mondays for the summer.)

Great imbibing or just socializing and casual dining options in the Lounge of The Embassy Club or Library Bar of The Des Moines Club


Dining at The Des Moines Embassy Club is easy, whether it be day or night. No time for reservations? We can still accommodate you and your guests. Casual dress at your office? Casual attire is always acceptable in our Grille or Lounge, and in the main dining room every Friday for lunch. No lengthy wait times during the day or evening. We take reservations even when other restaurants won’t. We accept reservations for any number of people in your party, even if there are only two.

No charge for parking under the building after 5:30 pm.

Reservations and Phone Numbers 
Reservations are always appreciated but not required. Call 244-2582 for reservations at 801 Grand or 244-2177 for the Ruan Center. Tell us the time, number in your party, your membership number and dining room preferred.
